How Personalized Gifts handles your account, the story you share, the song, and payments.

Who this covers

This policy is for Personalized Gifts, the site where you turn a few personal details into a song for one person. It covers the account you use to make the song, the details you type, the preview and the finished song, the private gift link, and credit purchases.

If you only open a gift link someone sent you, the shorter section If you receive a song is the part that applies to you.

The short version

We use what you give us to write the lyrics, generate the song, show you a 30-second preview, and — if you unlock it — let you download the MP3 or open a private gift page. We do not sell your stories, lyrics, or songs. Questions go to yuanyuan221119@gmail.com.

Your account

You sign in with Google. From that sign-in we receive your name, email address, and profile photo, so you can come back to a song and see your credit balance.

You can sign out at any time. The sign-in itself uses a cookie so the site knows it is still you on the next visit.

What you tell us about them

To make the song, you choose an occasion and fill in a short brief. That can include:

The occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, thank-you, Valentine's Day, or just because.
Their name, your name, and how you know them.
The language, mood, music style, tempo, and vocal you pick.
A signature phrase, a small detail, the feeling you want the song to leave, and any longer story you add.

You can leave some of those blank. The site asks for at least one personal detail, because the song is built from that.

We use this only to write and generate that song, to show it back to you, and to put it on the gift page if you unlock one.

Lyrics and the recording

From the brief, we draft lyrics. You can edit the title and the lines before the song is made. We keep the lyrics you approve, the 30-second previews, and — after you unlock the song — both finished versions.

The preview is the first 30 seconds. Listening to it does not use credits and does not require a purchase.

The details, the lyrics, and the request to generate audio are sent to the services that write and record the song. They receive them so they can make that song, not so we can sell a profile of the person you are writing about.

If you receive a song

A gift page is a private link. It is not listed on the site, and opening it does not require an account.

Anyone with the link can see the recipient's name, the occasion, the note under the song, and can play the song. They do not see your account email, your credit balance, or the full brief you typed unless those words ended up in the lyrics or the note you chose to show.

If the song should stay between you and them, send the link only to the people who should hear it.

Payments and credits

Finished songs are paid for with credits.

$19.99 adds 5 credits, enough for one song.
$44.99 adds 15 credits, enough for three songs.

Sale prices may apply during promotions.

These are one-time purchases. There is no subscription, and a new account does not start with free credits. Credits do not expire.

Paying adds credits to your account. It does not by itself unlock a song. 5 credits are used when you confirm a download or a share page for that song. Doing the other one later, or downloading again, does not use another 5 credits.

Checkout is handled by our payment provider. We keep the order status, the amount, and the credits added to your account. We do not store your full card number.

How we measure the site

To see which pages help people finish a song, the site records simple usage events, such as a page opening, a step of the song form being completed, a preview being played, or a checkout starting. Each event carries a random ID kept in this browser, the page, the kind of device, and the link or campaign that first brought you here. If you are signed in, it is linked to your account.

These events do not include the names, details, lyrics, or note you write. They stay in our own database and are not shared with advertisers.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. The site also remembers, in this browser, that a purchase finished, so the song you were working on can update after checkout, and keeps the random ID used for the usage events above.

We do not use cookies to sell your gift details to advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep the account, the brief, the lyrics, the audio, and the gift page for as long as the song is in your account, so you can come back to it and the link keeps working.

If you want the account, a song, or a gift page deleted, email yuanyuan221119@gmail.com from the address on the account and tell us what to remove. A deleted gift link will stop opening. We may keep a record of a payment where we have to, for example to answer a refund question.
